WELCOME

Do you know the difference between stationery and stationary? Do you know the difference between eminent and imminent? Spellchecker doesn't, but I do.

Even simple typos are easy to miss. You may mean then, but instead type than. When you proofread it yourself, your brain automatically sees what you think it should see. That's why you need another set of eyes besides your own to do the final proofreading.

Before you submit your book, short story, article, research paper, newsletter, or any other piece of writing, you want it to be perfect.

An editor does much more than simple proofreading. Editing involves improving clarity and checking for missing information. Rearranging phrases or sentences and rewriting are often necessary. A good editor will make your writing still sound like you (and not the editor), but better. Click on the "Services and Rates" tab for more information on this.

I am a professional proofreader and editor. I eliminate errors in spelling, grammar, and usage before anyone else sees them. I fix errors in consistency, tone, and style. No job is too large or too small.

I also do math copyediting, a specialized type of copyediting. I have worked on high school and college level algebra textbooks.

I am also a writer. I write non-fiction and fiction. Copywriting services are also available.
