I have extensive experience editing and proofreading textbooks for high school and college students. Subjects I have edited include Algebra, American History, Astronomy, Biology, Psychology, and Sociology.
When I was in college, I was appalled at how many mistakes I found in my textbooks. One book in particular, for an Introduction to Business course, had so many problems — some pages missing and other pages printed twice, plus various misspellings and typos — I wrote a letter to the publisher about it. I received a reply saying it was "a production error" and would be fixed in future editions. A production error! A textbook is the one product that should have no errors. If I proofread or eit your textbook, it will be free of errors.
